What is a RICC (Regional Inclusive Community Coalition):

RICCs are local advocacy groups made up of people living with developmental and other disabilities, family members, service providers, advocates, and allies.

 

Purpose of RICCs: RICCs serve these essential roles:

 

A) Identify local issues that impact our lives and our communities.

B) Outreach to diverse community populations.

C) Advocate for needed changes in the community, including accessibility.

D) Promote Community Awareness.

 

We Advocate For:

 

*Access within the Community.

*Community and Political Awareness.

*State and National Public Policies.

*Transportation.

*Social Justice Issues.

*Keeping the Community Informed.
